Welcome to English with Mrs Black
Both Freshmen and Sophomore English focus on teaching the 9-10 ELA Common Core standards. 80% of a student's grade is based on meeting the Common Core standards, while the remaining 20% is classwork and homework. Keep in mind, though, that every lesson is designed to move a student closer to proficiency (and mastery).
